Jean-Simon Labret (b. 1943) - Large Brutalist lamp-sculpture in glass, dated 1974 mportant lamp-sculpture in tinted and assembled glass, composed of superimposed geometric elements in amber, red and smoky tones, structured around a luminous central axis. The vertical composition, with its assertive architecture and angular volumes, is in keeping with the Brutalist aesthetic of the 1970s, emphasizing the formal strength and materiality of glass. The play of transparency and stratification creates an effect of depth, accentuated by internal lighting. Rests on a quadrangular metal base. Signed and dated 1974 on reverse. Height: 146 cm.
