Flemish School – Presumed 18th century – Wooded Landscape wi - Lot 47
Flemish School – Presumed 18th century – Wooded Landscape with Horsemen Oil on canvas depicting a wooded landscape featuring two horsemen, other figures, and a dog walking along a path lined with tall trees. The composition opens onto a rolling landscape bathed in soft light, while foliage in shades of green and autumnal hues dominates the scene. A work in the tradition of 17th- and 18th-century Flemish landscape painters, reminiscent of compositions from the Brussels School. Presented in a gilded wooden frame decorated with beaded friezes. An old, barely legible handwritten inscription on the reverse of the stretcher. Condition: Good overall condition, signs of age. Dimensions: With frame: H. 42 × W. 50 cm – Without frame: H. 32 × W. 39 cm.
