Lidded serpentine pot, 19th century A lidded pot turned from polished serpentine stone, circular in shape with several molded ridges. The screw-on lid is topped with a turned knob shaped like an apple. The stone features rich natural veining in shades of dark brown, red, and greenish tones, punctuated by lighter inclusions. The underside shows concentric marks from the turning process. A decorative piece from the 19th century.
