Enameled copper Cantonese plate, late 19th century Circular enameled copper plate with a turquoise background, decorated in polychrome with flowers, scrollwork, butterflies, and auspicious motifs surrounding a central red medallion. The reverse is also enameled in turquoise and bears a red mark in the center. Chinese work in the Cantonese style. Details: Materials: copper and polychrome enamels Diameter: 17.5 cm, Mark: red mark on the reverse Condition: visible crazing, wear, and several areas of enamel loss, particularly on the reverse and along the rim.
