A throwing knife attributed to the Zandé people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, dating from the first half of the 20th century. Forged from iron, it features an asymmetrical structure consisting of a long central shaft and several tapered side blades arranged in different orientations. This distinctive shape allowed it to be used as a throwing weapon, while also serving a function of prestige or representation. The surface retains an antique patina with traces of oxidation, wear, irregularities, and forge marks. The lower part shows remnants of a former handle wrapping or covering.
