Rapier with a cup-shaped guard, Spain, 17th century A 17th-century Spanish rapier with a long, triangular, three-sided blade, featuring a large, hemispherical cup-shaped guard. The hilt features a cast-iron tang adorned with relief motifs and a medallion portrait, complemented by a hilt arch and an ovoid pommel. The blade bears an old inscription that is partially legible. A beautiful antique weapon with a pronounced patina, as well as signs of oxidation and wear consistent with its age.
