A pair of apothecary vases made of white earthenware with ye - Lot 144
A pair of apothecary vases made of white earthenware with yellow and black decoration. Each vase bears a painted inscription in Gothic script identifying its contents: “Nacurus” and “Valeriana.” The baluster shape, resting on a pedestal and a square base, is reminiscent of pieces produced for 19th-century pharmacies, hospitals, or laboratories. The decoration consists of friezes of stylized leaves framing the inscriptions. Some visible wear, chipping, and signs of use, consistent with their function and age. Details: Height: 44.5 cm – Width: 24.5 cm – Total weight: 5.250 kg.
