Alain Guillot (b. 1948) - Crystal sculpture with red inclusion and gold aventurine, model no. 621, 1990 Solid free-form crystal sculpture featuring a large internal inclusion in graded red tones, enriched with scattered particles of golden aventurine. The whole is set in a thick mass of translucent crystal, worked in volume to accentuate the effects of depth and light. The upper part develops into a slender, curved form, while the satin-finish circular base ensures stability. Work by a French studio glass company from the late 20th century.
