Carved mother-of-pearl cane with handle, bird on branch, late XIXᵉ - early XXᵉ century Cane with carved mother-of-pearl handle depicting a bird perched on a stylized branch, the iridescent mother-of-pearl highlighting detailed work on the plumage and naturalistic forms, shaft composed of leather washers stacked around an iron core in a technique used in the late XIXᵉ and early XXᵉ centuries, finished with a metal ferrule.
