Gallé lamp base with acid-etched daisy decoration, Art Nouveau period
Lamp base in the shape of a soliflore with a long, flared neck, made of multilayered glass, signed “Gallé” in cameo. The design, created using acid etching, features daisies and stylized foliage set against a gradient background in shades of purplish-brown, amber-yellow, and cream. The hole in the base is original and was made to allow for electrical wiring, confirming its function as a lamp base. The slender shape and color nuances are characteristic of Gallé’s productions during the Art Nouveau period. In good condition.
