Russian walking cane with a nielloed silver handle, late 19th–early 20th century Wooden walking cane with a curved nielloed silver handle, richly decorated with engraved geometric and floral motifs highlighted with black niello. The handle bears a monogrammed cartouche as well as Russian hallmarks, including the silver fineness mark “84,” corresponding to the standard in use in the Russian Empire. The turned wooden shaft is fitted with a metal ferrule. A fine example of Russian goldsmithing applied to objects of prestige and everyday use. Details: Length: 92 cm – Weight: 330 g.
