Rattanakosin-style Buddha with a crown, made of gilded bronze, Thailand, early 20th century Seated Buddha in meditation, hands resting in his lap in the dhyāna mudrā. The figure is dressed in a richly ornamented robe and wears a tall, arrow-shaped crown, characteristic of royal depictions in the Rattanakosin style. It rests on a tiered base with finely chiseled decoration. The surface retains significant traces of gilding as well as a patina from use. Details: Height: 40 cm – Width: 22 cm – Weight: 3 kg
