Large Japanese Imari porcelain dish, 19th century Large circular Japanese porcelain dish in the Imari style, dating from the 19th century. The polychrome decoration, accented with underglaze blue, iron red, green, and yellow, is arranged around a central medallion adorned with a geometric motif. The rim is divided into panels alternating between lakeside landscapes and floral compositions of chrysanthemums, plum blossoms, and stylized plants. The reverse features a simple underglaze blue design composed of geometric motifs and concentric bands. The dish is fitted with an original metal hanging mechanism. A chip is visible on the reverse.
