Sun-shaped wall clock in gilded wood, early 20th century Decorative wall clock in carved and gilded wood, designed in the shape of a radiant sun. The circular dial with Roman numerals is set at the center of a composition of rays alternating between straight and wavy forms. This type of decoration follows the tradition of sun-shaped mirrors and clocks inspired by the Baroque and Louis XIV styles, which were widely reinterpreted in the early 20th century. Movement housed at the back within the central body. Details: carved and gilded wood – dial with Roman numerals – early 20th century – diameter: 45 cm – weight: 1,720 g.
