Gilded bronze hand mirror with a miniature depicting Marie Antoinette, signed Magda, Napoleon III period
Gilded bronze hand mirror in the Louis XVI style, with a fluted handle terminating in an acanthus leaf motif and topped with a ribbon bow. The reverse features a circular mirror, while the obverse has a guilloché background centered on a miniature painted on porcelain depicting Marie Antoinette, signed Magda. French work from the second half of the 19th century, characteristic of the Napoleon III taste for toiletries and boudoir objects inspired by the 18th century and the Ancien Régime.
