Pair of lidded cassolettes in white marble and gilded bronze, Louis XVI style, late 19th century Pair of lidded cassolettes in white marble resting on square bases with ball-shaped feet in gilded bronze. The ovoid bodies are adorned with rich gilt-bronze mounts featuring a design of knotted floral garlands, acanthus leaves, and stylized side handles. The lids are topped with flame-shaped handles. The set faithfully reflects the decorative vocabulary of the Louis XVI style, characterized by symmetrical ornamentation, garlands, and plant motifs. Made in the late 19th century, these cassolettes are an elegant, neoclassically inspired decorative piece. Details: Height: 41 cm – Total weight: 10 kg.
