Covered Tutsi basket in geometric basketry - Rwanda, first half 20th century Cylindrical covered Tutsi basket with conical lid topped by a central handle, made from woven plant fibers. The body features geometric decoration in dark brown and natural diamond registers, typical of Rwandan production in the first half of the 20th century. The interior is entirely woven, with a ring base. Some old restorations visible on the ligatures. Details : Height : 28 cm - Diameter : 15 cm - Weight : 253 g
