Baroque wooden angel, 17th-18th century - Lot 308
Baroque wooden angel, 17th-18th century Polychromed wood figure of a winged angel carved in the round, depicted in motion with hands clasped and legs spread, probably intended for an altar set or church décor. The modelling of the body is naturalistic, with attention to anatomy and dynamics, while the drapery and green perizonium feature undulating folds. The wings, partially gilded, show wear and missing parts. The back reveals fasteners and traces of assembly, indicating original integration into a larger ensemble. Surface with wear, cracks, gaps and old restorations. Details: Height: 69 cm - Weight: 4.4 kg
