Solid silver Hanap / Traubenpokal - Germany - 18th century - Lot 156
Solid silver Hanap / Traubenpokal - Germany - 18th century An 18th-century solid silver Hanap or Traubenpokal type bowl, resting on a circular molded foot richly decorated with plant motifs in relief. The openwork stem, decorated with foliage, supports a body in the shape of a bunch of grapes, entirely worked in repoussé and hammered by hand, with a succession of gadroons evoking the grains. The partially gilded interior contrasts with the polished exterior. The removable lid is topped with an openwork decorative element featuring a stylized plant motif. Traditional Germanic or Central European goldsmith's work, typical of presentation or convivial pieces. The fixing screw was replaced during a recent intervention. Unmarked piece.
