Empire-style gilt bronze clock with musical decor, early 19th century Empire style clock in finely chased and gilded bronze, early 19th century, featuring an enamelled circular dial with Roman numerals set in a rectangular body richly decorated with friezes and scenes in relief, surmounted by a seated draped female figure holding a lyre, accompanied by a stringed instrument on the side, the whole resting on a rectangular base with figurative decoration, mechanical movement visible on the back with bell, surface showing original gilding with slight wear from use, homogeneous set characteristic of Empire production.
