Engraved stag horn powder horn, lion hunting scene, iron mounts, XVIIᵉ century Powder horn from the XVIIᵉ century carved from stag horn and retaining its original iron mounts, one side engraved with a scene depicting a man being chased by a lion in a wooded landscape and the other adorned with concentric circular motifs characteristic of the period, fitted with a spring-loaded iron pouring spout for dosing powder as well as suspension rings for wearing on a belt or shoulder strap. Details: Length: 33 cm - Weight: 422 g - Materials: stag horn and iron - Condition: good overall condition with age-related wear, small crack in the horn, patina and surface oxidation on the iron mounts, clearly legible engraving.
