Royal Dux (Bohemia) - Pair of polychrome porcelain shepherd figures, Art Nouveau period, circa 1900 Pair of polychrome porcelain figures representing a shepherdess holding flowers accompanied by a sheep and a shepherd draped in a skin holding a stick, accompanied by a goat, each resting on a naturalistic base with floral decoration in slight relief. Vertical composition of slender proportions, with detailed treatment of faces, hair and drapery, polychrome highlights in brown, ochre and green tones. Typical of the Art Nouveau production of the Royal Dux factory in Bohemia around 1900. The reverse of each base bears the triangular pink Royal Dux Bohemia mark in relief. Fair condition with wear, light soiling and traces of age on the bases, with no apparent restoration visible on the photographs.
