Carved wooden eagle, iron talons, Continental Europe XIXᵉ century
Wooden sculpture depicting an eagle with partially spread wings, characterized by detailed plumage work and strong modeling of the head and beak, with partial preservation of old polychromy visible particularly on the beak and inside of the mouth, the wrought-iron legs and talons reinforce the structure and suggest a decorative or applique function, possibly linked to an architectural element, furniture or heraldic or religious use.
