Two Yaka pipe stoves - DR Congo - first half of the 20th century Set of two Yaka pipe stoves in sculpted terra cotta. Both feature a cylindrical container for tobacco, extended by a short tube for pipe insertion. One of the stoves is decorated with incised geometric registers forming horizontal bands and squared motifs. The second is carved with an elongated stylized human figure, arms and legs folded around the body of the furnace, a figurative motif associated with Yaka artistic production. The surfaces show a dark brown patina with traces of use and erosion. Details: Height: 6 and 7 cm - Length: 7 and 8.5 cm - Total weight: 190 g.
