Neck rest - Mongo region - DR Congo - first half of the 20th century Carved wooden neck-rest with a strongly curved crescent-shaped upper crosspiece, resting on four vertical uprights, two of which are oblique, fixed on a massive rectangular base, a sober architectural design with no figurative decoration, balanced proportions and a rhythmic structure, dark brown matte patina surface with traces of use consistent with age, typical of production in the Mongo region in the first half of the 20th century.
