Samson-style porcelain lamp with floral and bird decor, gilt bronze mount, late 19th-early 20th century An elegant lamp comprising a polychrome porcelain vase in the Samson style, richly decorated with peonies, foliage, exotic birds and Far Eastern landscape elements. The finely executed decoration is in the tradition of Famille Rose Chinese porcelain, reinterpreted by the Samson factory in the late XIXᵉ - early XXᵉ century. The vase is mounted as a lamp with a gilded bronze frame, comprising a circular molded base and an openwork upper mount forming an elegant arch supporting the socket.
