Chinese export porcelain blue and white coffee pot / hot water pot - Late 18th / early 19th century Chinese export porcelain hot water or coffee pot, dated from the late Qianlong to early Jiaqing period (circa 1780-1820), hand-painted in cobalt blue underglaze; globular body decorated with a continuous river landscape with pavilions, trees, boats, bridges and figures; form inspired by European models with high handle, short spout and domed lid; metal mounting and original chain securing the lid, lip decorated with a geometric frieze, flower-shaped knob; height 14 cm, width 12 cm, weight 288 g; very good period condition, slight glaze wear and typical firing imperfections, no major cracks or restorations visible, original lid and chain present.
