Corpus of Christ in copper, XIXᵉ century Finely modeled copper sculpture depicting Christ on the cross, with a collected expression and detailed treatment of the hair, perizonium and anatomy. The slender proportions and supple modeling reflect meticulous workmanship typical of religious production in the XIXᵉ century. Remains of old gilding remain on the surface, associated with an original patina in warm tones. Perforations on the hands and feet indicate an early attachment to a cross. Details: partially gilded copper; height 28 cm (head to feet); width 19 cm (between hands); weight 1004 g; good overall condition with minor wear and traces of time consistent with age.
