Pair of silver-plated candlesticks 'Castor Pollux' by Salvad - Lot 14
Pair of silver-plated candlesticks 'Castor Pollux' by Salvador Dalí, Circa 1975.
Pair of silver-plated candlesticks, Castor Pollux, created under Salvador Dalí's supervision and published in a book edited by the artist.
The set consists of two candlesticks forming a pair, characterized by a sculptural, geometric design. Each candlestick rests on a curved, stepped base, supporting an angular, twisted central element that rises upwards as it narrows, ending in a circular bobe. Faceted and polished surfaces create a play of luminous reflections. Although each candlestick is asymmetrical in isolation, together they form a mirrored composition, evoking the theme of the twins Castor and Pollux. Made in silver-plated metal. Wicks missing. Dimensions : 27 × 16 cm. Total weight: 3 kg.
